CHIMERA
CHOREOGRAPHY: MARY NUNAN
DANCE: RIONACH NI NEILL, OLWEN GRINDLEY, DOUGLAS COMELY, JENIMA HOADLEY, RICHARD O’BRIEN
VISUAL PROJECTION: PETER MORGAN
Chimera is textured with kinetically contrasting dynamics and finely detailed movement material. Its visual impact is greatly heightened by Peter Morgan’s innovative use of visual projections, Tanya Power’s costumes and Paul Keogan’s lighting design. A thin thread of narrative runs throughout the piece, but more importantly as a choreographic work its deeper resonance lies in the movement and choreography.

A TALE OF THE UNEXPECTED AND USEFUL INFORMATION FOR POTENTIAL BASKETBALL REFEREES
CHOREOGRAPHY: MARY NUNAN, PAUL JOHNSON
DANCE: JILL BURNS, LUCY DUNDON, GIDEON REEVE, DANNY THOMPSON
A Tale of the Unexpected tells of a boy living in the 60s who spends many hours fantasizing about television and comic book heroes. This piece demonstrates how his fantasy world merges with real life. Useful Information for Potential Basketball Referees is based on a number of gestures used by basketball referees. The choreographer has incorporated many of the human elements of playing, not only basketball but also any team game, such as mutual support, effort, triumph and disappointment.
